Because if there’s one thing Breaking Dawn needs, it’s demonic rabbits and time travel…

7 Nov 2009 | Category: New Moon | Comments Off on Because if there’s one thing Breaking Dawn needs, it’s demonic rabbits and time travel… is reporting that Richard Kelly, the director behind the 2001 cult hit Donnie Darko and the upcoming thriller The Box, is interested in directing the final instalment of the Twilight Saga,  Breaking Dawn. “I don’t even know if [Summit Entertainment] would ever be interested in someone like me. I’m certainly keeping an open mind,” Kelly said. “Now, more than ever, I think I’m open to doing something that isn’t an original or that’s something from another script… I’m just trying to keep my mind open to any possibilities that might present themselves.”

Jumping aboard the tween-franchise would certainly be an unexpected mainstream turn for the indie director, but who knows… Breaking Dawn is certainly the weirdest of the Twilight novels, and Kelly’s wacky out-there style might be just what it needs.

Kristen Stewart ain’t no Angelina Jolie

4 Nov 2009 | Category: New Moon | Comments Off on Kristen Stewart ain’t no Angelina Jolie

post_36In what seems to be a growing trend from the New Moon superstars, Kristen Stewart says she doesn’t want to be famous. “Nothing about being a celebrity is desirable,” she said in a recent interview with News of the World. “I don’t want to be a movie star like Angelina Jolie… I’m an actor. It’s bizarre to me that everyone’s so obsessive.” At the very least, though, Stewart’s celeb-status does help her understand love-interest Edward Cullen. “As a vampire, he has a sad, desolate life – fame is the same.”

And it seems Robert Pattinson is feeling the same way this week. “I’m trying not to drown,” he says in the December issue of Vanity Fair. “I guess I’m not cut out to do a franchise. I’m not much of a crowd person.” Yikes. But at least it means he’s comfortable turning the spotlight over to co-star Taylor Lautner!

Here’s hoping that our favourite stars can relax a little once the PR for New Moon is finally over.
