Jackson Rathbone

Born in Singapore, Jackson Rathbone began performing in local theater after his family relocated to Midland, Texas. After high school, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting, where he landed a gig on the show Disney 411, interviewing Disney Channel stars such as Hilary Duff and Raven Symone.

Guest appearances on series such as Close to Home and The O.C. preceded a stint as a regular on Sony Pictures Television’s drama series Beautiful People. When the series came to an end, he found himself playing roles in independent films such as River’s End (2007) and Big Stan (2007).

Rathbone’s big break came in 2008, when he was chosen to play Jasper, one of the Cullen brothers in the hit movie Twilight (2008). It started out as a low budget production, but the popularity of the books it’s based on made it one of the top ten highest grossing films of 2008. Rathbone returns as Jasper for the second and third movies in the Twilight (2008) series—New Moon and Eclipse, and has also landed a lead role in M. Night Shymalan’s The Last Airbender (2010).

In his spare time, Rathbone enjoys playing guitar with his band.
